In Privy, you can customize an automatic email to be sent to your new contacts immediately. To edit your automatic email, click the “Autoresponder” card in the campaign emails section:
The Autoresponder dialog will appear. Here you can enable or disable the autoresponder, edit the email subject, or edit the email content.
You can also send yourself a test email. Click the “Send Test Email” button to send a copy of the email to your registered address.
To add variables, click the “Personalize” dropdown in the email editor. You can add data such as the contact’s name, email, and data about the campaign.
To add default strings to variables, use the following syntax:
This will print “Default Value” if the data, in this case contact.first_name, is not available.
Multiple welcome emails
If you sync to an email marketing service that sends a welcome email, or enable double opt-in, your contact will receive two emails immediately (one from Privy, and one from your connected email marketing service).
