Privy can automatically sync your contacts over to your Dot Digital (Dotmailer) account. After you complete the following steps, anytime a customer signs up for your Privy campaign, they will automatically be synced to your Dot Digital account.
To begin, click on the menu in the upper right corner of your Privy account screen and select the option labeled "Integrations".
From this page, click on the icon for dotmailer:
You will then be prompted to enter your API Email and your API Password:
To obtain this information log in to your dotdigital account
After logging into your account click on the Settings icon on the lower left portion of the screen. Then select "Access".
Then click on "API Users" and select the green button labeled "New user":
Fill out the required fields then select the green "Save" button:
After doing this copy the resulting API email and return to Privy. Enter the API email and the password you've selected in dotdigital:
Then, select the blue "Link Account" button.
You will then see your dotdigital account appear at the top of the "Linked Accounts" section of your Privy account:
Note: You've just completed syncing dotdigital to your Privy account overall. However, you will need to enable the email sync on a per campaign basis. To accomplish this:
Click on the "Campaigns" tab on the upper left portion of your screen:
Then, click on the icon for your particular campaign:
Now navigate to the campaign’s Automation settings (in the campaign's settings tabs), click the "+ New Rule” button, and choose which account and list you want to sync new signups to.
Then click Save.
Congratulations, you've now created your dotdigital email sync!
Special note: Refer to the Using ‘double opt-in’ article at dotdigital to complete the double opt-in setup. Please note that double opt-in is not supported when syncing to the ‘All Contacts’ address book.
