Using Privy With Popular Email Services
If you’re already using an email provider that you’re fond of that’s no problem at all! We integrate with a fair amount of email service providers. If we don’t integrate with a service that you do use, there’s always the option to manually export your contacts and import them as a CSV file on the other side. To link your two accounts you must begin by adding an Email Sync.
Adding an Email Sync:
After logging into your Privy account, click on the Settings tab on the upper left portion of the screen.
Once you’ve done this you will be brought to the following page the settings page for your account. From the left portion of the screen you will be able to select “Linked Accounts”. Previously linked accounts will display towards at the top of that screen. Clicking on any one of the email service providers listed will prompt you to enter your login credentials in order to create the Email Sync.
Note: Each email service provider is a little different. Because of this, some have different requirements in terms of what it takes to establish a link. Usually all it takes is your username and password for that service. Sometimes it will require additional pieces of information. If you’re not 100% sure of what is needed during this process, you can always chat with our support representatives.
Once you’ve connected your email service with Privy the next step is going to be pointing your campaign’s form to the appropriate list in your email account.
Creating The Email Sync On Your Campaign’s Form:
Once you’ve linked your email service to your overall Privy account, it is time to specify which list in your email account your contacts should be placed. The will require you to leave the settings page and navigate over to the main campaign screen in your Privy account.
From the main screen, click on the icon for the campaign that you want to work with.
If an email sync is already active it will display on the page for you:
Regardless of whether an email sync is present or not you can click on “Forms” then navigate to the last option on screen to either add a new sync or modify an existing one.
