To set up your first Privy Email sequence, simply head to the “emails” section within your campaign, and add your first email to the sequence. In this brief guide, we’ll walk through the key details of the Privy Email product.
Creating an email in your sequence
In the “Emails” section of your campaign, every plan, including free, has the ability to design an immediate autoresponder, that gets sent to every contact immediately after they register for this Privy campaign:
Autoresponders will always send immediately. You can disable the Autoresponder and (if you have Privy Email) you can click + Add Email and configure the second email in the series to send later.
To set up additional emails in the sequence, open the email sequences card by clicking + Add Email. Then select your editor.
(This will require Privy's Email add-on tool to create additional emails in a series.)
Series Sending Conditions
First, you should decide when this email will be sent to the contact. You have the choice between two scheduling conditions:
- Send X days after signup (for example: Send after signing up > after > 2 days)
- Send on a fixed date (for example: 06/06/2019 around 1:00 PM)
Include your logo
Click and drag an Image element into the top section of your email:
Click onto the Image placeholder that appears:
You then have the option to upload the image from your computer or you can use a direct URL to the image.
As a reminder, the Privy Email features are a small premium add-on to any Privy plan, even the free plan. This is not required for the Autoresponder email, but any emails in a series following that would require Privy Email.
Privy Email billing is calculated based on the number of mailable contacts in Privy. This includes those contacts who signed up and those who were imported. For Shopify users, this also includes customers who have opted-in to your marketing list during the Shopify checkout process.
To add the Privy Email package, head to settings > subscriptions > enable Email.
