This document will walk you through setting up your DNS records with GoDaddy.
Step 1: Add Sending Domain
In Privy head over to the drop-down in the upper right hand corner and click on Business Settings. On the left hand side click Sending Domains and then click the +Add Sending Domain button:
Step 2: Add Website URL
Enter your domain into the field and click Save.
Step 3: Click Verify To View Current Values
After saving you will be prompted with the following page. Clicking "Verify" will show you the expected and current values.
Step 4: Copy the expected value's provided in Privy, into GoDaddy
Step 5: Setup Records In Go Daddy
Head over to GoDaddy and navigate to the DNS management section for your domain. Click Add to add a new DNS record.
Step 6: Paste Copied Value From Privy into GoDaddy
In GoDaddy, select the correct record type and paste the Host into the Name Field and the Value into the Value Field. In this example we did not copy .privydomaintest1.com for the host name. You may also have to remove .yourdomain.com when entering these records.
Step 7: Complete Entering All Values
When you're done it should look something like this:
Step 8: Finished!
Once the domain is fully verified it should look like this in Privy (Please note that it is okay if one record is not verified, as long as the domain itself is verified, then the process is complete):

Normally, we’d suggest to copy and paste the entire host value like so (we have used a test domain in the example below, your records would not be the same as this and will include your domain):
In some cases, depending on the domain host, the DNS records will not fully verify when the domain is included upon being entered (There is nothing that will indicate this on either end).
What we recommend to troubleshoot is removing the domain from each host value we provide. Using the example above it should be changed to the following:
When the provided DNS records are entered into the domain host correctly it should verify immediately. In some cases there may be a delay but there is no way to determine this other than allowing up to 48 hours to pass.
Please note that it's okay if the TXT record for scph1218._domainkey is not verified. In some cases your domain will use their DKIM.
If records have not verified after 48 hours please do the following:
- Attempt the verification process again
- Contact your web host
