When you start your subscriber list by collecting phone numbers and text opt-in consent from your subscribers, you are going to want to send them an immediate follow up thanking them for joining your list. This immediate follow up is what we call the After Signup Text!
Whether you are creating a brand new campaign or you are updating an existing one, you will want to start in the forms section of your campaign. Here, you will want to add a phone field to your campaign. When you select the Phone field, Privy will automatically add the Text Opt-In field as well. You must keep the opt in field, and your subscriber must check the box to become textable.
After designing your campaign with your new form fields, adding any other customizations in the design and behavior sections of the campaign builder, you will proceed to the Emails + Texts section of the campaign builder. Here you will select the "+ Add text message" button to add your After Signup Text.
To edit your text, select the line that appears and says "Autoresponder". Make sure you click the gray toggle on the right to enable the text to send when you have published your campaign!
Feel free to edit the content of the text to reflect what you would like to say to your subscribers! You can dynamically add in their full name, first name, last name, your business name, and business URL to your text, or you can type out a master coupon to send to your subscriber! This is a great opportunity to welcome them to your subscriber list and show them your appreciation.
Once you have edited your After Signup Text Message, all you need to do is publish your campaign! Now, you will be able to turn all your site visitors into future customers by adding them to your text subscriber list.
