If your Shopify account is connected to Privy, you will now have contact and campaign level visibility around who goes on to complete purchases, or redeems your offer.
The only setup required is making sure your Shopify account is connected to Privy. Head to Privy > Settings > Linked accounts to double check.
Assuming it is, Privy will automatically look for contacts who registered for Privy powered campaigns, and track whether or not they go on to complete a purchase. If they do, Privy will update the individual’s contact card showing a “redemption”, and we’ll increase the overall redemption count for the campaign with which they’re associated.

How Privy counts redemptions
Privy will always count a redemption any time a customer does the following:
- Signs up for any Privy campaign.
- Places an order in your store.
In particular, this means that:
- If your Privy campaign offers a discount code, Privy will count an order as a redemption regardless of whether the customer actually used the discount code.
- If your Privy campaign does not offer a discount code, Privy will always count the order as a redemption.
