This document will walk you through setting up your DNS records with Shopify.
Step 1: Add Your Sending Domain In Privy:
Make sure that you are logged into Privy, then navigate to https://dashboard.privy.com/settings/sending-domains
Then click the +Add Sending Domain button:
Step 2: Add website URL:
In the dialogue box that appear, type / paste in your domain:
Step 3: Navigate to Shopify:
Starting from the Home page of your Shopify Dashboard, click on "Online Store" on the left.
Step 4: Select Domains:
Step 5: Manage Your Domain:
You will see a page similar to this one. Select your domain name, or the manage button.
Step 6: Edit DNS Settings:
Step 7: Add a New Record:
Step 8: Switch Back to Privy & copy the 'Host' name:
Copy the 'host' name that we provide for the first TXT record.
When copying the host, it's important to exclude your domain. - Records may not verify if you do not do this step.
In this example, only copy scph0419._domainkey and exclude .privysupport.com
This is true for the other records

Step 9: Switch back to Shopify & Paste the copied 'host' name into the Name field:
Step 10: Switch Back to Privy & copy the 'Data' value:
Step 11: Switch back to Shopify & Paste copied 'Data' value into the Record:
Step 12: Confirm & Repeat Steps 8 - 11
When everything is done correctly, you should see a similar page:
In the event that your s1 and s2 selectors are already in use by another provider, please contact Privy Support for further assistance.
If the first TXT record is not fully verified this is OK. As long as the domain is Verified then the process is complete:

Normally, we’d suggest to copy and paste the entire host value like so (we have used a test domain in the example below, your records would not be the same as this and will include your domain):
In some cases, depending on the domain host, the DNS records will not fully verify when the domain is included upon being entered (There is nothing that will indicate this on either end).
What we recommend to troubleshoot is removing the domain from each host value we provide. Using the example above it should be changed to the following:
When the provided DNS records are entered into the domain host correctly it should verify immediately. In some cases there may be a delay but there is no way to determine this other than allowing up to 48 hours to pass.
Please note that it's okay if the TXT record for scph1218._domainkey is not verified. In some cases your domain will use their DKIM.
If records have not verified after 48 hours please do the following:
- Attempt the verification process again
- Contact your web host
