Privy customers have access to add our "Phone" form field to their onsite display campaigns to collect the phone number of their email subscribers. When collecting a phone number, the email form field must also be present.
Note: Privy phone field only supports US and Canadian phone numbers (country code +1) at this time.
When a phone field is added to you campaign in the Forms section, an opt-in checkbox will be added to your display along with the phone field. This is added in the event that you are sending SMS messages to the phone numbers you are collecting. If you plan to send SMS messages to the phone numbers you collect, you must keep the opt-in checkbox on your campaign to remain compliant with SMS regulations.
In the phone number field, your subscribers will be able to add their phone number in any format with numbers and some special characters (ie. (, ) ,-) but will be validated to ensure there are not letters or words.
Once you have added the Phone form field to your campaign, along with the automatically added opt-in checkbox, you will be able to sync any phone number from the United States or Canada to your connected SMS messenger account.
Privy has integrations with the following SMS messenger platforms. Please see the associated documentation for more details on each platform integration.
