Privy customers can add the "Phone" form field to their onsite display campaigns to collect the phone number of their subscribers. With campaigns that have form fields, either the email field or the phone field will be required in order to collect additional information.
Note: Privy phone field only supports US and Canadian phone numbers (country code +1) at this time.
When someone adds the "Phone" field to their campaign, the "Text Opt-In" field will automatically be added as well. The "Text Opt-In" field can be deleted if you do not plan to send out text messages to the collected numbers, but in order to send messages through Privy Text the text opt-in is required to remain compliant with SMS regulations.
In the phone number field, your subscribers will be able to add their phone number in any format with numbers and some special characters (ie. (, ) ,-) but will be validated to ensure there are not letters or words.
Once you have added the Phone form field to your campaign, along with the automatically added text opt-in checkbox, you will be able to send any phone number from the United States or Canada (+1 country code) a text message through Privy Text, or sync to your connected SMS messenger account.
Privy also has integrations with the following SMS messenger platforms if you are not using Privy Text to send text messages to your subscribers. Please see the associated documentation for more details on each platform integration.
