The Privy Autoresponder is a one-time follow-up email that is sent to contacts after they’ve signed up for your campaign. The first autoresponder, in the potential series, is available at no additional cost and it is available in all accounts by default. You can access this feature within your campaign under the "Emails" tab.

After clicking on “Emails” click on the first option labeled "Autoresponder". This will bring you to the edit mode for that particular email.
Within the email builder, you will find a drag-and-drop editor that will allow you to add text, video, images and more. You can even upload HTML to make your email branded and cohesive with your other marketing efforts.
This section of your autoresponder is also where you will find the ability to send a test email from this page or save this autoresponder as a template to use for a future campaign.
The test email will be sent to the email you use to log-in to Privy.
Note: Test emails will not display your coupon code or other information from the personalization category until the email is sent live through a campaign.
The personalization field is another point of interest from the editing options on the screen. It allows you to insert specific contact details that will accurately reflect the information that is specific to your contact when they receive their email. This can be found in any text editor.
To add default strings to variables, use the following syntax:
This will print “Default Value” if the data, in this case contact.first_name, is not available.
After you’ve made all your design considerations you can select “Save" on the upper right corner of this screen.
Once you've hit "save", you will return to the emails tab within your campaign. Here is where you will need to turn "on" you autoresponder. The default is for "off" to be selected:
Once you click this button and turn "on" the autoresponder, you email will begin to send to all who sign up for your campaign.
Once your campaign is published, your autoresponders will begin to deploy as new sign ups come in.
Note: Multiple welcome emails
If you sync to an email marketing service that sends a welcome email, or enable double opt-in, your contact will receive two emails immediately (one from Privy, and one from your connected email marketing service).
