With Privy’s drag and drop editor you have complete control over the layout and elements in your email.
- Editing Your Email Body and Background
In the “body” section on the right of the screen you can change the width of the email body, background colors, font, and more to create the look and feel you want for your email before adding any content.
2. Creating Your Layout
When you open the drag and drop editor there will be a default layout in place already. You can easily add and delete rows to create your ideal layout.
The “row” menu is at the right of the screen and includes a number of pre-set layouts such as single column, three column, and more.
To insert a row, simply drag over a section into the body of your email. You can do this as many times as you want to align with your content.
If you want to delete a row, click on the row and a trash icon will show up that you can use to remove it.
3. Inserting Your Elements
Once you have your layout you can pull a number of different types of elements into the spots that exist. These elements determine what kind of content will go in each section.
Choose from images, text, dividers, buttons, and HTML. Once you have placed an element in its spot you can edit the content itself.
Just like with rows, if you want to delete an element, simply click on it and use the trash can icon. You can also drag and drop elements into different positions.
Note: Any section without actual content in it will result in a blank space in your finished email. This can be useful for creating space around an image or button.
4. Adding and Editing Buttons:
You can insert a button into any element block by dragging the “button” element from the right hand side of the screen. Editing the button text can be done from within the button itself in your email to create the right call to action.
Editing the link you want to send people to when they click, the button color, and the text color are all done from within the sidebar.
5. Adding Images:
You can add images into your email by either uploading them from your computer or entering a source url. You can also add a link URL to each image from within the “Action” menu at the right of the screen.
Note: You can not resize images within the drag and drop editor. You can, however, increase the padding of the image container to bring down the size of the image. We recommend resizing your images outside of Privy in most cases.
