Privy supports the ability to run offers that can easily be tracked through the point of redemption. You can create a few different types of Privy campaigns that will allow tracking through redemption:
- eCommerce offers that can be redeemed online through a promo code.
- Content download offers that deliver a exclusive piece of content, ebook, whitepaper, etc.
There are two ways Privy considers an offer “Redeemed”?
- The user signs up for any Privy campaign
- The user places an order in your store
Essentially, what this means for you is if your Privy campaign offers a discount code, Privy will count an order as a redemption regardless of whether the customer actually used the discount code or not. There is a reason for this! We've heard from many of our merchants that often times, offering a discount is incentive enough for customers to buy, even if they don't end up using the discount code.
In addition, if your Privy campaign doesn't offer a discount code, Privy will count it "redeemed" once a user signs up for your campaign and then proceeds to makes a purchase from your store.
