Does Privy offer trials?
When you sign up for Privy Convert Plan (formally known as our Growth Plan), you’ll get access to all of our on-site plan features with no traffic limitations for 15 days (with Email and Text excluded) . That means you can install Privy, create and launch targeted on-site display campaigns with autoresponders, and capture as many emails as you want. After 15 days, businesses with over 5,000 average monthly page views will need to move to a paid plan to continue using Privy.
When will I be charged?
Upon signing up for a Privy paid plan, credit card payments will charge automatically while merchants who pay via Shopify Billing will see a charge from Privy on their next bill with Shopify. When signing up with Privy, we charge monthly; for example, if you have a monthly subscription and are billed for your first payment on March 1st, your next bill will be April 1st, and the 1st of every month going forward. The only exception would be if you make a change to your plan, for example, add a promotional code, or cancel then restart your plan. If this occurs, the day you make the change will be your new billing date.
You may cancel anytime prior to the next billing date to avoid future charges.

How can I pay for Privy?
Privy’s Convert plan can be billed through Shopify billing or through a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express). Our Email and Text Plans can only be paid for via a credit card.
How does Privy on-site pricing and autoscaling work?
Privy’s Convert Pricing is based on the volume of your average monthly page views at the time that you upgrade. Every three months after you upgrade, we will automatically look back at your average monthly page views across those months and adjust your price tier up or down. For merchants who are on a paid Convert plan for 3 months, these plans will autoscale based on the average monthly page views of the past 3 months. Privy will email merchants seven days before the change in pricing will be in effect.
- If your Convert plan is paid via Shopify billing, merchants will be prompted to authorize the plan change (if applicable). If your monthly page views have increased and your monthly bill will be higher, you would be prompted in Shopify to accept the new monthly recurring charge. If your monthly average page views from the past 3 months do not warrant a price change, you will not need to make any changes to your plan.
- If your Convert plan paid is paid with a credit card, the new price will go into effect on the first bill date after 3 months of service.
*Please note: autoscaling will be paused for most accounts from March 23rd to June 24th.
How do I sign up for the free on-site Convert plan?
You can sign up for the Privy free plan by creating an account at here or through adding the Privy app to your Shopify, BigCommerce, etc. This will start your 15-day “trial” period. If our data shows that you average less than 5,000 page views per month, you can stay on the free plan until you cross that page view threshold.
Do I get every feature if I am on the free on-site Convert plan?
With the free plan, you get access to all of Privy’s targeting rules, standard integrations, A/B testing, and more (click here for a full list). Users on the Privy free plan will have the Privy logo, however. The only feature that does not come with our on-site plan is the ability to send emails (abandoned cart emails, as well as newsletters and order follow ups).
What happens if I am over the 5,000 pageview threshold and I haven’t signed up for a paid on-site Convert plan?
After the 15 days, should you choose not to upgrade, your active Privy display campaigns will be paused and not be shown to any visitors to your website. Once you upgrade your campaigns will be automatically re-published. Any accounts under 5,000 page views per month will remain on Privy’s Free plan with all features.
How does Privy Email pricing work?
With Privy Email, you can send newsletters, abandoned cart emails, and order follow up emails.
Privy Email is $10/month for up to 1,000 mailable contacts and $5 per additional 1,000 afterwards. You can see how many mailable contacts you have in the subscription page of your Privy dashboard.
Privy billing is based on monthly traffic. We understand that imports may not always be done at the start of each month and we will automatically adjust your bill accordingly. In the event that your business imports a CSV file mid-cycle, Privy billing is automatically adjusted once the new contacts have been approved by our Compliance team.
How does Privy Text pricing work?
With Privy Text, you will be able to send SMS messages to any textable contacts in your account. Privy Text starts at $10 a month for 100 textable contacts and is $10 per 100 contacts after that.
There is a cap on the number of texts you can send or receive per month that is equal to 6 times your number of contacts:
For example, for $10 a month, you can text 100 contacts with a texting cap of 600 messages
$20 a month, you can text 200 with a texting cap of 1,200 messages
$30 a month, you can text 300 with a texting cap of 1,800 messages
*Opt-in messages and responses you receive count towards your texting cap.
How can I sign up for Privy Email or Privy Text?
You can sign up for Privy Email or Privy Text in the subscription page of your account, by clicking "Add Email" or "Add Text".
How do I cancel my plan?
To make changes to your on-site Convert, Email, or Text plan or to cancel your plan, simply go here.
What happens to my account after I cancel my plan?
In the event you choose to cancel your Privy plans mid-cycle, you will lose access you any paid features immediately.
