This plan includes two types of text messages:
Abandoned Cart Text Messages
If you are a Shopify, BigCommerce or Weebly customer, you can utilize Privy's Abandoned Cart Text Messages. This text message type is triggered for contacts who have previously opted in to receive marketing text messages from you when they add a product to their cart and then leave your site. Privy can then send a reminder text (or a series of reminder texts) to your textable shoppers to incentivize them to complete their purchase for up to seven days after they abandon their cart. Once the user completes a purchase, they will stop receiving your abandoned cart series. Once you set up your Abandoned Cart Text Messages, they will continue to send automatically without any additional effort from you.
What sets Privy's abandoned cart text messaging apart is that they truly capture abandoned carts vs. abandoned checkouts. Any existing contact in your Privy database is eligible to receive an abandoned cart text instead of relying on shoppers to fill out their contact information during the checkout process.

After Signup Text Message
Privy Text subscribers have the ability to send one follow up text message after a contact signs up on a Privy display campaign. This text message, which can contain master coupon codes, is called an After Signup Text Message. This text message is preceded by a default opt in message, and is sent immediately after to the contact when they signup for a Privy onsite campaign. Like Abandoned Cart Text Messages, After Signup Text Messages can be set up once and will send automatically.
Only contacts who have checked the opt-in checkbox on your signup display and then received the initial opt-in text and replied “Yes” will receive your customized marketing text message.
