The Privy After Signup Text Message is a one-time follow-up text message that is sent to contacts after they’ve signed up for your campaign with a valid phone number and check the phone opt-in checkbox.
To ensure you are able to send a text message to your subscribers, you will want to start by adding a Phone field to your campaign in the “Forms” section. When you add the Phone field, a Text Opt-In field will automatically be inserted. In order for your subscriber to receive a text from you, they will need to check this box.
After updating your design in the display editor, you can proceed to the Emails + Texts section of your campaign to add an After Signup Text Message.
After clicking on “Emails + Text” click on the button that reads “+ Add Text Message. This will automatically add the After Signup Text Message line to your campaign flow. Make sure to click the toggle to activate the text message. When activated, the toggle will appear green instead of gray.
Next, you will click the added line where it says “Autoresponder” to edit the message. The following Text Message Content editor will appear. You can use the “Personalize” dropdown menu to insert the susbcriber’s full name, first name, last name, your business name, and your business URL dynamically! A preview of what your text will look like will appear to the right of your content editor.
If you change the message from the default text, make sure to save your changes by clicking the button at the bottom right corner.
Once you have published this onsite campaign, all first time phone number subscribers who check the text opt-in checkbox will receive the following double opt-in text message. Your business name will populate in the beginning, but otherwise this message is not textable for compliance reasons.
Once your campaign is live, you can see the number of your customized marketing messages that have been sent and delivered!
